F1 NATION: A dominant performance from Max and Audi’s announcement – it’s the Belgian Grand Prix review

Max Verstappen was in supreme form at Spa-Francorchamps this past weekend. And to look back on all the action from the Belgian Grand Prix, Tom Clarkson is joined on this week’s episode of our F1 Nation podcast by Michael Schmidt from Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport and Swiss F1 racer Marc Surer.

Verstappen made his way through the field in Spa, avoiding chaos on the first lap before overtaking his rivals with ease to win his ninth race of the season. And the trio discuss the Red Bull driver’s performance in Belgium and the implications for the championship this year, as they analyse why the Dutch racer was so much quicker than his team mate, in second, Sergio Perez.

Also on the agenda for this week is the battle for fourth in the constructors’ championship, after a double-points finish for Alpine saw them extend their lead to McLaren to 20 points, as the gang discuss the outstanding performances of both Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon.
