HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action from the first practice session at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
It was a Ferrari one-two in a rain-hampered first practice session at this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix, with Carlos Sainz setting the early pace ahead of team mate Charles Leclerc.
Sainz set a time of 1m 46.538s on the soft tyre, to lead Leclerc by 0.069s, with championship leader Max Verstappen a further 0.217s behind the Spaniard, ahead of George Russell in the Mercedes in P4.
Lance Stroll was the lead Aston Martin in fifth, ahead of the Williams of Alex Albon in sixth, the departing McLaren driver of Daniel Ricciardo in seventh and Yuki Tsunoda in eighth.

Lewis Hamilton was ninth fastest in the session, failing to set a time on the soft tyre, with Sergio Perez rounding out the top 10.
It was a tough first session for Esteban Ocon and Valtteri Bottas, as both were confined to the pit lane for much of the session with issues on their cars, while Kevin Magnussen brought out the lone red flag in the session, with the Haas driver stopping on the run down to Eau Rouge with a mechanical problem.
