WATCH: Red Bull’s new RB19 car hits the track for shakedown run at Silverstone

Red Bull’s RB19 has been – very briefly – spotted in the wild at a shakedown at Silverstone.

Last week, Red Bull showed off the livery for the car that they hope will see them retain the constructors’ and drivers’ championship trophies after a record-breaking 2022 season with the RB18.

On Friday, the champions took their RB19 to the track, namely Silverstone, but the team to beat have been very coy about their brand-new challenger, with the car seen only in a brief clip published on Friday afternoon.

Alfa Romeo have also been on track as they took the C43 out at Barcelona, with Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas sharing duties for two days.

Max Verstappen is of course hoping the RB19 will be the car that powers him to a third championship win on the bounce.

“Well, my favourite number is of course number three,” he said at the Red Bull launch event in New York.

“Of course you always try to go for it but I don’t know if we are going to be good enough; of course we believe as a team we are, we are motivated and we have come off the back of a very strong year, and we are working flat-out to try and achieve that.

“Everyone back at the factory, the whole winter, was working flat-out, and once I came back from my holiday I was also working flat-out to try and be in the best shape possible, and once you get back into the car, you know that it’s go-time and you have to deliver.”

The RB19 will also be in action at pre-season testing in Bahrain at the end of February before the season-opener at the same track at the beginning of March.
