Kevin Magnussen sealed his first ever pole position in Formula 1 after putting in a stunning performance in a wet qualifying ahead of Saturday’s Sprint in Brazil.
Magnussen was the first driver to set a time in Q3 as the rain began to fall in Sao Paulo, with the Haas racer putting in a sublime time of 1m 11.674s on the soft tyre to lead the Red Bull of Max Verstappen, in second, by 0.203s and George Russell, in third, by 0.385s.
